i had an accident on a front tooth a few years ago, ive had a root canal recently, but i can still feel pain in the tooth therefore the root canal may have failed.

my dentist also said he as concerns that it maybe a root fracture.

would it be best to save the tooth or just have it pulled for an implant?

it depends on where is the fracture. vertical fractures usually don't have any treatment and you should extract the tooth. but if the fracture line was in gum line or a few millimeters under it can be cured . we can move the tooth in upper by orthodontic forces or expose the fracture line by surgery (crown lenghtening).
any way i think you should wait more since pain after root canal therapy isn't abnormal within 30-40 days.
