Chest Pains?
What would cause your blood pressure to sore, 180/120 chest pains, but not a heart attack? Went to ER they couldn't answer my question. They did a stress test, waiting on results. Do not have high blood pressure normally, and it only lasted a short amout of time. Additional Details1 week agoThis happened to my daughter, 45 and SLIGHTY over weight

Even though I think your daughter should have a cardiac workup, I think she should look at other things besides her heart for the chest pain. The pain may be coming from her gall bladder. An old saying about gall bladder attacks is that they occur in someone with the three "f"s. Fat, Forties, Female. Seems like your daughter meets all three of these categories. Ask your daughter what her pain feels like. If the pain is a burning pain that feels like it goes all the way from her front to her back, it is probably her gall bladder. Cardiac chest pain is usually a pressure that feels like someone is sitting on your chest. Sometimes cardiac pain will radiate to the jaw or arm. Another symptom of gall bladder pain is that it will hurt in the shoulder blade area. If it is not her gall bladder, or her heart, I would start looking at gastric reflux, an ulcer, or a panic attack. Panic attacks often resemble heart attacks in symptoms. Just having severe pain can make her blood pressure go up. Good luck and I hope she is better soon.
